6900 Casement
The 6900 Casement is designed around traditional casement windows found in early 1900 homes. It has no limitations in width, and performs well with large glass sizes. The main differences between it and the 5900 casement are the butt hinges and the casement stay used to hold the window open.
6900 Casement standard features:
- Solid clear vertical grain fir sash and jamb in paint or stain grade
- Energy efficient glass with low-e and argon
- Non-ferrous butt hinges
- Solid brass casement stay
- Solid bronze lever and strike plate
- Double weather stripping
- Floating or fixed mullion for doubles
- 1" interior stool with optional horn length
- Flat grain fir exterior sill with optional horn length
Stay
Stays hold a casement window open when butt hinges are used. They are solid brass, easy to tighten, and hold the window through moderate wind conditions.

Sticking Details
Sticking is the detail in the wood that surounds the glass in a window. It helps direct moisture away from the glass while providing a decorative appearance. Below are our standard patterns. Notice that two patterns allow for true divided lites (TDL) and one of our patterns allows simulated divided lites (SDL). Ask about advantages of each for your individual situation.

Thermal lead
Our thermal leading is custom made to order. The drawing below shows a piece of insulated glass cut in half. The lead is applied to both sides of one of the panes of glass so it can be seen from both sides. We leave the lead off of the other side of the glass to allow for a low-e coating for maximum energy efficiency.
